I’ve tested over 40 different whey protein powders and Thread Performance Daily Fuel  is the first protein that combines a green supplement into their protein blend. So, I decided to put it to the test, as someone genuinely curious whether this could be a reliable, daily nutrition habit for adults and teenagers.

Thread Performance’s Daily Fuel stood out to me, not just because it claims to be an all-in-one solution, but because it seems like it could be a game-changer for a very specific group: young athletes and busy families who struggle to get enough protein, vitamins, and essential nutrients each day.

I’m not saying you can’t get the same nutrition from whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. But between school, work, practice, and everything else, getting high-quality meals on the table every single day can be a challenge. That’s where Thread Performance Daily Fuel really shines. It combines protein, greens, adaptogens, digestive enzymes, and essential nutrients all into one scoop, making it a simple, convenient option for people, especially teens, who need solid nutrition without overcomplicating things.

Key Takeaways

Honest Review Guarantee from FeastGood: Our testing team purchases each product 100% independently and uses the product for several weeks up to several months before writing a review. Learn more about our review process here.

  • At $3.66-4.33 per serving (approximately $2.85 per 100 calories), Daily Fuel is definitely on the higher end when it comes to cost, at least if you’re comparing it to a regular protein powder. But to be fair, this isn’t just a protein shake. It’s a full on combo supplement, packing in greens, fruit powders, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and more. You’re getting a lot more than just protein in each scoop.
  • Daily Fuel is independently third-party tested, meaning an outside lab verifies that what’s on the label is what’s actually in the product. This adds an extra layer of trust, especially for parents and athletes who care about clean, safe ingredients.
  • Each serving is pre-packaged into one serving pack, making these very convenient and easy to integrate into a teen’s sports bag or backpack. They can be mixed with water or any beverage quickly, easily making them a great addition to a well-balanced diet.
  • If you’re someone who doesn’t always eat a super balanced diet, or you’re already taking both protein and greens separately, Daily Fuel is a great way to simplify your stack. I see this being super valuable for young athletes who are always on the go and might not be getting a well-rounded diet every day.

Overview of Thread Performance Daily Fuel

Thread Performance Daily Fuel

Thread Performance creates supplements to help youth athletes achieve improved physical and mental performance.

They use ingredients backed by science and tested by a third party to make sure they’re clean and safe.

Thread Performance is unique to the market as many other companies do not have a product to meet youth athletes’ needs.

This is not to say that youth athletes cannot use regular protein powders and green supplements, but Daily Fuel is formulated with the youth metabolism in mind, using ingredients that are easier to digest, absorb, and utilize.

That makes it especially useful for growing bodies with higher nutrient demands and more sensitive digestive systems.

Daily Fuel delivers 140 calories, 21 grams of protein, 3 grams of carbohydrates, and 1.5 grams of fat per serving (1 packet).

Additionally, it packs a variety of vitamins, minerals, super greens, adaptogens, collagen, fruit powders, and probiotics (more on the benefits of these later)

My Results & Experience

Thread Performance Daily Fuel user experience

I started using Daily Fuel to help cover any gaps in my diet—like protein, vitamins, or other nutrients I might not be getting enough of on a regular basis. My goal each day is to eat a well-balanced diet with fruits and vegetables. However, this can be tough for an on-the-go adult with a career and family.

Like any other protein powder, I used this product in my diet, often taking it with water around workouts or mid-morning paired with some fruit as a snack.

My initial thoughts of the product were that it was surprisingly palatable, even with water. It wasn’t too thin, overly sweet, nor excessively earthy. Sometimes I find that the addition of greens and fruit powders can add a gritty texture and green vegetable flavor to things, which I personally find a turn-off (and teens may too). This made it a quick source of protein and nutrients without leaving a long-lasting taste in my mouth (like most greens powders do).

I train five days a week, and often use protein powders to help hit my protein target. While I do not take any multivitamins or greens powders, I do try to eat fruits and vegetables but also recognize I may have some holes in my nutrition.

Over the course of 14 days, I took a packet a day, which equates to one serving that was pre-packaged into pouches. This didn’t change my weight, but it helped round out my nutrition. Since each serving is individually packaged, youth athletes should have no problem tossing these into their backpack or gym bag and mixing them with their favorite drink after practice or a game.

Overall, my health and performance seemed to be constant, which is not a detriment to the product but more showcasing the fact this can support the unseen variables in our diets. I also eat relatively clean and consume ample protein, even without the added 21g per serving.

I can 100% see the value if you are someone who struggles to eat a balanced diet and get enough protein in, as it has been shown that adolescents with low protein intake can have limited muscle repair, growth, and diminished ability to withstand physical stress.

Ingredients

Thread Performance Daily Fuel Ingredients

Grass Fed Whey Protein Concentrate

This is a very high quality protein source that delivers all the important building blocks it needs and offers a creamier, fuller texture. Grass fed cows usually produce milk that’s more nutritious, with higher levels of healthy fats like omega-3s and more antioxidants. Grass fed dairy is often seen as being more sustainable to the earth and to animal welfare practices.

Organic Watermelon Seed Protein

At first, I wasn’t sure why they included watermelon seed protein, but turns out, it’s a smart choice. It’s a vegan, easily digestible protein that’s allergen friendly, gluten free, and free of soy and dairy, making it ideal for teens with sensitivities.

Nutritionally, it’s about 60% protein by weight and packed with amino acids like arginine (for heart health) and tryptophan (for mood and sleep). It also delivers micronutrients like magnesium, iron, zinc, and B vitamins.

Beyond the nutrition, it helps support muscle growth and recovery, blends smoothly without fillers, and has a neutral taste that improves texture without overpowering the flavor.

Stevia

Daily Fuel uses stevia to add sweetness to their product. Stevia is a better alternative to sugar as it delivers sweetness but is zero-calorie and doesn’t elevate blood sugar levels like sugar.

While artificial sweeteners are another option, these have been shown to alter gut bacteria, cause weight gain and  metabolic issues in young people.

Eggshell Membrane

Eggshell membrane is rich in collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin, and hyaluronic acid which have been shown to improve joint health and reduce stiffness (and potentially improve mobility).

Studies show that 500mg a day of natural eggshell membrane (which Daily Fuel delivers 500mg) can be enough to see a benefit in joint pain and stiffness, with studies showing a reduction of 25-45% of joint pain in 30 days (daily dosage of 500mg) in both healthy individuals experiencing pain and individuals with arthritis.

Fruits and Super Greens

All the added ingredients, like the greens, fruits, and adaptogens, bring in a solid dose of antioxidants, vitamins, and other nutrients that help support things like energy, immune health, and recovery.

Overall, Daily Fuel packs a surprisingly well-rounded mix of nutrients into each scoop.

Probiotics

Probiotics are included to support protein digestion and nutrient absorption, which is especially important for teen athletes.

Developing digestive systems may not break down protein as efficiently, and teens may experience bloating or discomfort when consuming high protein supplements.

By including probiotics, Daily Fuel helps athletes digest protein more effectively and absorb more of its benefits without the GI upset.

Here’s what they do:

  • Helps break down protein: Some probiotics help your body make enzymes that turn protein into building blocks your muscles can use.
  • Helps your body absorb more nutrients: When your gut is healthy, your body can absorb more nutrients from the food you eat.
  • Reduces stomach issues: Probiotics make it easier to digest food, which can help prevent gas, bloating, or discomfort, especially if you’re sensitive to protein.

Ashwagandha

This is what’s known as an adaptogen—a natural compound that helps the body better handle stress and maintain balance.

Adaptogens like this are believed to support energy levels and regulate cortisol, which is your body’s primary stress hormone.

High cortisol over time can mess with recovery, sleep, and even muscle growth.

Daily Fuel includes this adaptogen because it can help your body bounce back faster. People have reported feeling up to 21% less sore, and even saw strength gains of up to 18% in the upper body and 22% in the lower body.

Highlights: What I Liked

Thread Performance Daily Fuel

Clean, Simple Ingredients

When I take any supplement I try to prioritize clean ingredients that have little or no unnecessary sugars, fillers, or additives. As a coach and father, I also aim to prioritize that for my youth athletes and own children as well.

The protein is sourced from grass fed whey, with stevia being used to add sweetness and sunflower lecithin is used as a thickening agent.

Highly Convenient

Each serving is individually packaged, making it convenient to fit into a lifestyle that is on the go and active. It has a great range of vitamins, greens, fiber, and probiotics, with an added benefit of delivering 21 g of protein for only 140 calories.

I found I use this product throughout my day-to-day as a way to sneak in some extra protein, but also know I was being proactive about delivering vitamins, greens, fiber, and probiotics into my diet.

As someone who is health-conscious, I understand I may not fulfill all my nutrient needs despite eating a fairly well-balanced diet.

It gave me peace of mind knowing I could get everything I needed in one scoop, instead of having to remember to take multiple pills and powders every day.

Third-Party Tested

As someone who competes in sports and works with tested athletes, I know how important it is to trust what’s in your supplements.

The fact that Daily Fuel is third-party tested gives me added confidence, it means the product has been independently verified for ingredient accuracy, purity, and safety, which is especially important when recommending it to young athletes and their families.

Drawbacks: What I Didn’t Like

There were only two aspects of the product I didn’t fully appreciate, but to be fair, I also do not think I am the intended demographic for this either.

It Is Expensive

While Thread Performance Daily Fuel might seem expensive at first glance, the value becomes clearer when you compare it to buying multiple products separately.

For example, Transparent Labs, one of the top-tier supplement brands, sells their Whey Protein Isolate and Prebiotic Greens for a combined total of about $105.

Daily Fuel, which includes not only protein and greens but also vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and adaptogens, comes in at $110 with Subscribe & Save.

So essentially, you’re paying just $5 more for the convenience of having everything in one scoop—fewer products to buy, less clutter in your pantry, and a simpler supplement routine.

Insufficient Dosages (at First Glance)

Some of the vitamin and ingredient dosages in Daily Fuel may look low, especially when compared to adult  multivitamins or high potency supplements. However, this appears to be intentional, as the product is specifically designed for adolescents, not adults.

Thread uses highly bioavailable, whole food based ingredients, which means they’re easier for the body to absorb and use efficiently.

So while the % Daily Value (%DV) might seem underwhelming on paper, these nutrients can deliver more impact per dose than synthetic alternatives with higher numbers.

That said, adults who are used to more diverse multivitamin supplements may still find these dosages a bit light.

This could be an opportunity for Thread Performance to explore an adult formulated version in the future. But for its target audience (youth athletes)  the current formula is safe, effective, and delivers just what their bodies need.

How Does It Stack Up Against Similar Grass-Fed Whey Protein and Greens Supplements

Thread Performance Daily Fuel

Let’s be honest, this is a very unique offering as it is not strictly a protein powder, and therefore, it would not be fair to compare it to other whey proteins.

Seeing that it is more of a hybrid supplement that includes protein in addition to dosing a plethora of other helpful superfoods, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and probiotics, I wanted to include protein as a key feature but not limit it to just being a protein supplement. It is an all-in-one nutritional supplement.

Nutrition Label Transparency

Our rating: 5/5

This product clearly details every single ingredient and dosage on every packet, making it 100% transparent to the consumer.

As someone who has taken my fair share of supplements, I appreciate the thoroughness of the packages that clearly detail all that is included in each serving. It is a very expansive list, one that may take some time to go through if you wanted to get a closer look, and that’s exactly what I did for you.

Fat Transparency

Our rating: 4/5

Daily Fuel has just 1.5g of fat (1g saturated, 0g trans), making it a lean, heart-friendly option that supports clean daily use without adding unnecessary fats.

Effective Ingredients

Our rating: 3.5/5

To fairly review this product, we need to look at the protein-to-calorie ratio, the specific amounts of vitamins and specialty ingredients, and how those dosages align with the recommended daily values for both adolescents (the primary target audience) and adults (like myself, a 38-year-old male who tested it).

The ingredient list is robust, so let’s dive in.

Protein:
Each serving provides 21 grams of protein and 140 calories, which is an excellent protein-to-calorie ratio. It’s also low in fat and carbs, it’s  a 5 out of 5 for macronutrient balance.

Vitamins & Minerals:
The vitamin profile delivers moderate to good amounts across most categories, though it does fall short in some areas when compared to a full-spectrum multivitamin.

  • Vitamin A and D3 are appropriately dosed for supplemental support.
  • Vitamin C and E, however, are on the lower end and may not fully meet daily needs unless you’re getting additional vitamins from whole foods or another multivitamin.
  • The B-complex vitamins range from about 11–30% of daily requirements, which is adequate for light supplementation, but underdosed compared to dedicated multivitamin products.

Overall, Daily Fuel delivers a solid foundation of vitamins A–E when used with a balanced diet, though it’s not designed to replace a complete multivitamin. (Rating: 3.5/5)

Specialty Ingredients:
There are no established Recommended Daily Intakes (RDIs) for many of these functional ingredients, so effectiveness is harder to quantify, but here’s what we can say:

  • Probiotics: 2 billion CFU is a good starting point for digestive and immune support.
  • Greens & Antioxidants: Includes a blend of spirulina, beetroot, broccoli, acai, and blueberry. These ingredients are beneficial, but the exact dosages may be relatively light.
  • Ashwagandha: The product contains 100 mg, which is on the lower end of the therapeutic range (typically 125–600 mg/day for adults). That said, this lower dose may be appropriate for adolescents. Due to limited research in teens, consulting a healthcare professional is recommended.
  • MCTs: These quick-absorbing fats are included but likely at low levels, not enough to drive a significant energy boost, especially by adult standards.
  • Chia, mushroom blends, and digestive enzymes are also included. While these can offer added benefits, the dosages are likely too low to evaluate their impact definitively. (Rating: 3/5)

Protein Percent of Calories

Our rating: 4/5

Protein accounts for nearly 60% of the total calories in this product, delivering 21 grams of protein for 140 calories.

Protein needs of an adolescent can vary based on body size and activity level, however with adults we often look for 25-30 grams per serving as something that is a high scoring protein powder.

Seeing that this is made for adolescents, 21g of protein (for 140 calories) is still a great balance of protein percent of calories.

Taste

Our rating: 4/5

I mixed this product with both water and milk (whole milk as well as 2%). I personally do not typically care for vanilla powders nor green powders, however this one was not bad given my flavor preferences.

I will say that this product was one of the better vanilla powders I have had (when comparing ones that are not packed full of artificial sweeteners). When you throw in the fact there are vitamins, greens powders, mushroom powders, etc it surprisingly hid the earthy notes of those products well and was not chalky.

I found it most palpable with milk, however that may have also been due to the texture (see below).

Mixability

Thread Performance Daily Fuel mixability

Our rating: 5/5

I mixed this in a shaker bottle with water on the go, and it mixed with ease even without a shaker ball.

Mixability is something that is a big make-or-break for me (and most people). This product did not clump up and was very easy to mix in a shaker with water. Mixing it with milk in a blender was even better.

Satiety

Our rating: 2/5

The two out of five rating here is not a knock on this product, since this is not marketed as something for weight control or satiety. This product delivers fast digesting whey protein and vitamins and minerals.

This product did not sit heavy in the stomach and went down easily, so a lower satiety rating for this type of product is actually a good thing in my book.

Texture (Thick/Thin)

Our rating: 5/5

I mixed this product with both water and milk (whole and 2%). It mixed well with both and was taken on the texture of what it was mixed in, with water being slightly more thick when with milk it gave it a nice frothy texture.

I adjusted what I mixed it with based on what I was looking for. If I used the product on the go and wanted something I could throw back, water it was. When I had time to prepare a shake with milk, I liked the fact it gave some more texture to the milk I prepared it with.

Cost

Our rating: 3/5

Each serving of Daily Fuel costs approximately $3.66-4.33, making this a pretty expensive product.

The product itself is  packaged and sourced from quality ingredients and combines vitamins, greens, and protein in one shot, making it expertly convenient for on-the-go nutrition. You could buy a protein powder (pack in a container or plastic bag daily), and then take a multivitamin for cheaper; however when dealing with adolescents, it may be easier to make it as convenient as possible.

Who is Thread Performance Daily Fuel For?

Thread Performance Daily Fuel

Daily fuel is a great option for:

  • Parents and adolescents who are on the go and want a product that can deliver good dosages of vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and protein in one shot.
  • Youth athletes looking to have a product they can use to boost protein and micronutrient needs to fill any gaps in their balanced diet.

You can order directly from the Thread Performance website and get high-quality protein, greens, and vitamins in one convenient scoop.

Perfect for busy parents, athletes, and anyone who wants to simplify their supplement stack.

Who Should NOT Take Thread Performance Daily Fuel?

You should pass on Daily Fuel if:

  • You want a cost effective way to deliver protein, vitamins, greens powders, and probiotics. This is not a cheap product, and it may be slightly more cost-effective to purchase a protein powder supplement, a full multivitamin supplement, a greens/fiber supplement, and a probiotic separately.
  • You consume enough protein, carbs, and calories through a full, well balanced diet high in fibers, fruits, and vegetables, and probiotic rich foods.
  • Daily Fuel contains whey protein concentrate (a milk-based ingredient). It also includes coconut (a tree nut), so individuals with milk or tree nut allergies should avoid this product.

Customer Reviews

Thread Performance Daily Fuel is sold on its website and on Amazon. Their website has 26 reviews, with 24 five-star reviews and two four-star reviews (4.9 overall rating).

The majority of the reviews stated how the taste and mixability of the powders were great and exceeded expectations. They credited this as something that helped their children enjoy the product more compared to other powders.

One review mentioned the price was steep, however, they still found value in the product as it helped them ensure they were getting their child nutrition as they were a picky eater.

Overall, this product, despite having limited reviews, came highly recommended by many parents with younger children and adolescents who were looking for a protein supplement that also delivers vitamins and minerals in a quick and easy form.

Where To Buy
